I swore off outfit posts for a while because I was determined that I wouldn't post any pictures until I get myself a better camera. My first follower was Pelin(someone needs to drag her back on SuchBelle because I miss her posts), I'm pretty sure ever since she followed G&B, she saw my continuous bickering about how I don't have a good enough camera. Mum literally threatened me to shoot an outfit post and hence the do to death photo-editing. I'm not into colors, definitely not into so much colors; as previously stated. My new year resolution was to incorporate more color in my wardrobe which made me raid my father's closet. Not so surprisingly my dad has more colors in his wardrobe than mine and yes, it is weird. I found this shirt that he never really wore, after much tying and folding, it somehow looked really good. I can't really deny but I am dead chuffed with how these pictures turned out. I think it's kind of clear by now that I'm more into grungy kind of pictures so that satiated the requirements. Thanks to Doug Geisler, for that amazing "Bla Bla Bla" picture. Also, how is it March already? Wasn't new year's eve like yesterday? Well, I have some great posts lined up, that's something to look forward to. Also there is a GIVEAWAY going on my blog, right now, it's amazing. You guys should check it out.
Collages by Me.I have had a chance to work with Rosewholesale, before this too. They are the most sweetest people ever and I am happy to collaborate with them for hosting this giveaway . For all those of you who're unaware of Rosewholesale, they are an online fashion clothing store, where you can find the most affordable fashion style, both attire and accessories. According to my opinion, I never had a bad experience with them, I got my order on time and I loved the cape they had sent me. People who follows this blog, has a clear idea as to how much I detest summer and anything that involves sweat and humidity. But this time I've been trying to be extremely positive about it and I've promised myself to enjoy summer(or atleast try). Hopefully these few items would inspire you to get in to that perfect summer-mood. Embrace it, drink more iced beverages, spend more time at the pool and bring out those tanks/shorts which you would shy away from. The temperature is always the reason to have more fun with your clothes.
One winner will winner will win an item of their own choice, from the above-mentioned one(just click on the picture to visit the original site). All you have to do is follow the rafflecopter below. Following this blog or my Facebook page isn't absolutely necessary but the other ones are(register on Rosewholesale.com and like their Facebook page). However if you do decide to follow this blog or like my FB page, I can assure you, I'll gladly return the favour(I believe in 'bloggers who support each other are the best kind of bloggers').
Shirt from Persunmall. Pictures by Jhuma B
Lately I have been ensnared by the effect it creates, when you dip a brush filled with watercolour into a bowl of water. How the colour strew on the surface of water and forms a very enticing pattern, with it's swirls and twists. This probably, is the very first reason why I started painting at the age of four. Colours and patterns fascinate me. I fell in love with this shirt, the whole watercolour effect it has on the hand-painted butterfly & flowers print, the very first I saw it on Persunmall. Naturally they had been extremely kind to send me this chiffon shirt. True to my previous opinion, I loved it even more when I saw it up-front. The quality is amazing and I'm probably going to wear it so often in the next two months until it becomes ad nauseam. Also with a record, this is my very first post with so many pictures, I do like to keep it short with at most three pictures but I decided maybe this time I should include more. I had been gone for long, again this time. Life had been so crazy for the past few months, it seems like I'm caught up in an incessant maelstrom. However I am trying to return back to regular blogging, take out time and just write cause I really do love to do this. If you want to check out this shirt or buy it, click over here. For the love of watercolour paints. Oh and in the second picture, I look like I'm about to cry. I can assure you that's not the reason, it's the sun.
[oblivion əˈblɪvɪən/ noun -the state of being unaware or unconscious of what is happening around one.]
I have been gone for way too long this time. These few months had been extremely restless, with work, internships and moving. None-the-less I had been extremely frenzied about it. I have some good news that I really want to share and hopefully I'll do that in my next post. I took out some time for painting, the smell of fresh paint, it was heaven, I find something extremely calming about painting and doing what I love to do. Since work life took a toll, my personal style became more relaxed and fresh. Don't get me wrong, I love dressing up, I still do but there is something extremely refreshing about over-sized yet tailored clothes, bed-head/beach hair, minimal make-up. I tried to reflect that in the pictures above. Though my personal touch had never gone away, I will still crush on anything black and white and smoky-eyes(minus the red lipstick; which is exactly what I'm talking about). Think more of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen casual-style during summer days. I hope everyone's enjoying the last few days of winter and the beginning of spring. I already started drinking a lot of grape smoothies. Guilty.
